Great picture Cathy!
Thank you Rob. I'm glad you like it! I don't know why it is called False Creek. Thank you Jacques! Both of you are (were) such cute children!!! I love your profile pictures!
good one Cathy!
is it False Creek because it only looks like a creek until you go a way in & find it's a bay Cathy?Looks nice & I love the blue colours.
Thank you Lyndee! This water used to be polluted but they worked hard to clean it up and it has recovered!! There are fish and seals in there now. And very rarely a whale will swim into this area to the great delight of all the people on the seawall and in the boats.Thank you Laurajane. The bigger one with all the spikey things is BC Place stadium The arena is the smaller one to the right of the stadium. Both are downtown so there is lots of public transit to get people there and then home again.Hi joyfulli. I found the link to the dragonboat article.http://www.fcrcc.com/info/disciplines/dragonboat/dbhistory
That is a nice view of the arena, Cathy. Very nice area.
It looks so blue and clean Cevas. Love this view.
Hi patsquire ... :-) ...The boats are real !! You're welcome Jim. That seems to be where they live when they are not out racing or training.Thank you Aggie!!Thank you joyfulli. This is not a "creek" it is a small bay or inlet. The water is salt water not fresh water and there are tides. The boat that are on the dock are the dragonboats.. The ones further out are sailboats, yachts etc. I posted a link to more information about dragonboats in a previous picture. I will post it again here. If you click on my name perhaps you will find it before I do.
I like this. Why is the river called "false"? Which ones are dragon boats? The ones on the docks look different from the ones in the water.
That is the most dragonboats I have ever seen in one place! Thanks, Cathy!
So, are those false boats?
