Ann, i'm sure you are right!
Hawhaw, funny story, Mimi! I guess it's just another way for Mama Nature to show us who's boss, huh? The geese are programmed to put us in our place. :-) ................
Shirley and Pat, one day a group of about 15 Canada geese went slowly across as we waited, Just before the last one got to the other side they all turned around and went majestically back across the road..........we waited some more!
There always has to one....
And another one lagging behind, I think he'll use the crossing, they are funny, Thanks Mimi.
Thanks Jan, Tex, Ank, Hanne, BJ and Suzy. They are funny and do make a mess but we love them.
At least they were CLOSE to the crosswalk! Great series, Mimi!
We have egrets here and they walk across the busiest streets. Do believe they know we stop for them.
It's awfully funny to watch them!! One of my friends watched a pheasant in the front yard passing though the hedge in order to cross the road. But when it put out its head a car came rushing by. It found another hole and when it looked out there, nothing came. Since then it always used that hole!! Thanks so very much Mimi!!
Look there is still one at the other side. He is waiting for an other car to stop. Love it Mimi, the Canadion geese came to us about 25 years ago, they have crossed with Dutch geese, they still look like Canadian. And there are also still Dutch geese. I like them, but special in winter there are tooooo much.
Funny comments, Mimi & JB. I had never really thought about it, but it's so true, they can fly anywhere, so why wouldn't they just fly over the traffic?? Thanks.
At our former cabin in the woods, there was a golf course next door. The geese LOVED to party there and leave "pellets" all over. LOL (but not for the golfers). And, they do NOT move out of the way for cars. funny birds! Thanks, Mimi!
I believe you've got it exactly right Higgie, thanks! Thanks Gnt. Patti, it is a nice place to be in the winter, It's about 70F and sunny today, a lovely day!
Love it! Nice place to be in the winter! Thanks, Mimi!
well that is only right for him to bring up the rear LOL
They do it, because they can. Love it.
It tickles me when I think that they can fly anywhere they want, but they always stop traffic and walk sedately across the road.
