This fall I spent the night in Sturgis, South Dakota. For those of you that don't know, for nearly 80 years, Sturgis has been home to one of the largest, if not the largest, motorcycle rallies in the U.S. Last year 739,000 motor bike enthusiasts attended the rally. Anyway, early the following morning I looked around the town to for interesting homes to photograph. I found this old purple home that is used as a flower business. Today, being Valentine's Day, I bet Rose is one busy girl.

Terry. In my old garden I had two tree trunks. The tall one I covered with Clematis, and in the short one I planted Houseleek. If it's a flower business, they could have done better I think. Vips

hancheye, I think it was you that said that my work is recognizable, one other time. That surprised me because I like variety in everything I do. I think I may have heard that from one other person and I still don't see it myself. I am one that even likes change just for the sake of change. Seagirl Sue tends to be just the opposite. Terry

olando: Vips, how about, "interesting use of an old tree trunk." In our country, back when I was a kid, there was a rhyme going around that went like this: "I have never seen a purple cow. I never hope to see one. I do know that I would rather see one than be one." That thought is what came to my mind when I saw it. Terry
