You're most welcome Ardy :-))
Edie, they are really pretty. I don't know that I have seen red poppies before. Thanks for sharing. I really like them.
PJ, the centre on mine are quite different to the one in the link but when I googled Oriental poppies they do look very much like mine.
I'm not sure Faye but they sure do look like it when I googled them.
Yes Edie, the red poppies are beautiful and you are lucky to have them in your garden. The red ones are native to Europe, found a short and interesting Wiki : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Papaver_rhoeasPJ
I know that much as well since I also have some Icelandic poppies and they have much smaller flowers :-))
HA! You nearly made me kill my laptop!! I was reading your comment at the same time as drinking from my water bottle! I nearly splurted it everywhere!!I'm sure they are poppies. Just don't know what type. Certainly not the ones we call Icelandic. Off to Google to do some research! LOL
LOL, you're asking me. I'm happy to know that they're poppies Kirsten. Thanks for coming by :-))
They're gorgeous Edie! I'm no poppy expert. Are these ones Californian poppies? Or Flanders? Or something else? Thanks for sharing them with us. (•‿•)
Thanks everyone. I like both as well but I have so many of the orange ones and very few of the red so that makes them more special to me :-))
Me too, thank you.
either color is gorgeous.
I love it too :-))) Thank you Edie, have a beautiful weekend :-))) hugs
