Pat, I was weird when I was young because I didn't easily overheat and in fact oftentimes I wore a sweatshirt on hot days and didn't feel the heat. That's no longer the case though. I didn't use a base but maybe I didn't need one because I slathered the eyeshadow on. LOLMandy, if that's the case, all I can think is that it's the eyeshadow brand you used. Oh, I just thought of why my eyeshadow might have stayed fine. I used lots of moisturizer and that included on my lids.
I can't say that I did Wendy... I'd have 3-4 cups of tea per day and maybe a couple of glasses of water with my meals... probably nothing like the recommended 2 litres per day. I've actually got really dry skin.
I never sweat, either, and it's a problem I have, because I easily overheat. Everyone else will be soaked, and all I'll have is a little moisture beaded above my lip; or maybe my hair will get damp.... But my shadows always smudged and disappeared, so I used/use a base for them, and that really helps...
Mandy, you must have a moist body....seriously. When I was young I drank very little in the way of liquids and I never even sweated until I was in college and started drinking beer and other alcoholic beverages. Even in high school sports I didn't sweat....so I never experienced eyeshadow creasing. Just out of curiosity- did you drink a lot of liquids?
I was an Avon lady for 25 years!! I used to have more makeup than any other woman on the planet... except perhaps for other Avon ladies!! I hardly ever wore any of it!! Now I only regularly use lip balm in the winter!! I've still got more perfume than I'll ever be able to use... but Avon eyeshadow was the only one I ever found that stayed on my lids without creasing!!
Oh NO, Pat! Lancôme produced my favorite blush and eyeshadow. I no longer wear eyeshadow or mascara or any makeup at all except a very little blush and a little lipstick. I used to LOVE the free gifts that came with the purchase of another of their products. So you and I 'cover' different parts of our face. LOL
I have never been much of a clothes or shoes or handbags buyer, and I can go years between haircuts when I let my hair grow long, but I've always been a sucker for eyeshadow! For many, many years, I loved it when Lancôme or Borghese had these 12 or more eyeshadows in boxes that came as a special gift with purchase! Eyeshadow, eyeliner, and mascara are the only makeup I wear, and I love playing with them, so thanks for the puzzle--these are shades I would use (except the black/dark blue!) happily! :-)))
