Took this picture this morning. Note the outdoor temperature 8.4'F... in Atlanta, Georgia USA. The sensor is only about 1 inch from the window, so the actual temperature was 2 - 4 degrees colder. Brrrr
Keep safe & keep warm!

So far, so good, no frozen pipes. Power outages here are strange. It has slowed down but usually will pop off and back on almost once a month. The weather will be clear and normal, so there's no known reason for the problem. Hadn't thought of leaving the cabinets open but I don't let it drip and haven't had any freezing in the 10+ years I've lived in this area of Florida. Thanks for the info and it's nice to hear the temp after the fact, lol.

Duine, I just checked and at 2:10pm est it is 31' in Pensacola & it's going down to 26 tonight! Hope your water pipes don't freeze. That's been my biggest worry. At least with this cold snap the worry is about losing electricity but I've got my cabinet doors under the sinks open and the faucets are dripping. Take care!

Ahh, explains why my heat runs constantly even though its a new system inside and out. I'm in Pensacola, Fl.. Rarely go outside and didn't know it was so cold. I keep the temp at 68 and prefer to dress warmer inside. I don't watch tv or turn on the radio so I'm usually clueless to events around me. ;)

The weather gods are angry. Repent now.
