Oh yeah Atsutsa.....everywhere around the world there's always someone who feels the need to tell everybody how they should live. They interpet the phrase "everybody is entitled to their opinion" completely wrong....they think that everybody is entitled to "HIS/HER" opinion!
My neighbour is such a person.. GRRRR....!

Atsutsa

Oh, my, Impie. I'm with you about manager-types. I'm on an e-notification list for my neighborhood and we have one of those people. He constantly has to "comment" on everyone's conversation and insists that some get rid of their comments. One example is that a small group of us were having a very informative and VERY polite discussion of current national politics and he had to stick his nose in and condemn us. I've taken to not participating much because of his influence. People here are not shy and he's been called a lot of similar names but still he persists. Last night someone told him that his "anal retentiveness" was showing up too much and he should get a life. ARGH. He's been told that "we are adults capable of holding adult conversations" and that he should just take his narrow views somewhere else, but he persists.

Impie

I'm happy you enjoyed the step by step photos Atsutsa, soo and Pammi.

I'll soon take pictures if they get emptied too. It's a 'simple but good system, I don't know who or where it was invented it in the first place, but my small country can be big in many things it seems? ☺☺

Sorry you have these issues with the onsite manager, Pammi. I recognize those kind of people as my neighbour is also such a pityful and spiteful man!! I'll tell you about it one day, but not today!!!☺☺
You don't need to apologize for your 'waffling' , it's OK....I hope you all will come to a peaceful solution one day! ♥

Pammi

Thanks for all the pics Impie. How convenient that the bins are straight across the road from you. Good planning there. We have two bins, one for ordinary rubbish, picked up once a week and the other for recycling which is picked up once a fortnight. As we are in a multi-housing complex, the bins have to be taken out to the roadside and left on the edge of the footpath for pickup. The onsite manager used to offer to take them out for us but since I got elected to the Body Corporate committee last year both he and his wife now totally ignore us. They hate the committee members because it is our place to ensure that the complex is run professionally with respect to adherence to the by-laws and they have been allowed to get away with doing as little as possible up to now. It is especially galling as we homeowners pay them a king's ransom per annum and in return are treated like dirt. Unfortunately, it is verging on impossible to get rid of them. We have investigated many avenues with the Queensland Body Corporate Authority and it seems that unless they commit a crime or physically attack a homeowner the only way to go is through the courts at huge expense and no guarantees how it will go and also a difficult task to get all homeowners on side to agree to spend the money which I can quite understand. Sorry for waffling on. It seems I needed to get it off my chest. ☺☺☺

Atsutsa

Oh, soo....yes, the same here and windy days are the worst. Our bins are along the south wall next to the gate to the back yard so the West or Southwest (prevailing) winds blow them into the gate or wall and they don't go rolling down the street.

soo

Interesting and thanks for the step by step photos and they do look a lot neater. We just have one wheelie bin for our rubbish and two recycling boxes for glass, paper and plastic. The box for paper has a net which is supposed to go over the top, some people don't bother putting it on so I'm sure you can imagine the mess on a windy day!!

Atsutsa

Ooo-o-o FUN!!!! I think I may have to be jealous that you have all that fascination to watch....well, maybe something other than the chaos we have here in DC will occur near enough for me to watch... Happy Valentine's Day!
