@ Stevem: Right, you had me there :-) Fact is: I was too young to understand the lyrics as I didn't speak a word of English in those days. @ Gemstone: I have to admit The Alaskans doesn't ring a bell at all...
Roger Moore also starred in a TV series c. Maverick, 77 Sunset Strip... If memory serves me correctly I think it was called The Alaskans.
Except, of course, those lyrics were not for Ivanhoe at all; the story's told, of Lancelot! Here's the Ivanhoe theme:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RswoQJUGI6Q
Shhhhh Steve, don't give away my 'remember' puzzle for tomorrow :-)Don't forget 'the Persuaders' either. By the side of Tony Curtis.I think it was Moore's first major role on the screen indeed. And about the lyrics: your memory serves you very well...
"In days of old, When knights were bold, The story's told, Of Ivanhoe". Think this was Moore's first major role. He also, of course, played The Saint before 'graduating' to Bond.
Was a British series from the sixties, JB.A very young Moore it was then.
Never saw this! So that was Roger Moore in his pre-Bond days? :DThanks, Starlord!
The poor guy seems to be forgotten already :-(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CHrqbuuahQM
