No Mimi, they are soft and wave in the current, about the texture of thin cardboard. Well cardboard can cut so forget that one! Not razor sharp, thanks.

Glad you saw these yellow, funny how in different parts of the world we can still learn so much. They are this colour in the water, but if you take them out and sit for a while they turn pure white, I guess the sun bleaches them. They are protected by law now, on our north shore they are dying where the cruise ship silt kills them. Thanks.

OMG, Robbie, I've never heard of these never mind seen photos of them . . . I just love it when jigidi can be such a learning place! Are they always in this color? That had to be just awesome to see them around the entire island . . . . lucky you. They may not be able to talk, but with all those brain cells, I'm thinking when they are out of the water for periods of time, they are processing all sorts of info about US, and of course watching everything. (As in "A Person of Interest"). What fun, thanks so much!!

Thank you all for your nice comments, glad you enjoy seeing them as much as we do. Out on the farther reefs they get even larger, they don't talk and they can stand being out of water for hours.
