Thanks, magooney, and good for you for sticking with it--your time is great! :-)))
That was positively crazy! I was about to give up half way through... Thank you for a great challenge, pdevredis.
Thanks~ I deserve a party, and a parade in my honor lol. Great puzzle...more please~
Bravo!!! And I'm willing to bet that you weren't the slowest--on those tugman monsters, there were people who took 14 and 17 hours, and even longer! Even here, I'll bet there were longer times--but I'll definitely give you the prize for being the most honest reporter of your time here! And a special award for slugging it out with this puzzle with such determination! :-)))
I finally finished it....3 hours and 20 minutes. I win the prize for slowest ever....but I conquered this thing!!!
Sorry about that, Gail! Thank you for trying this, and I'm sorry it was so ornery! ;-))) I guess you haven't tried any of tugman22's puzzles, then! I've given up on several, even after hours of trying. I've taken 6, 7, 8 hours to finish some, too! They regularly kick my fanny! LOL!
Ah, this one done me in! I had to quit. I was spending way too many hours on it and developing way to many gray hairs over it. I have to bow down to you, first puzzle that has kicked my fanny since I joined here several years ago. Thanks for the great fight!
I'm so glad you had fun with it--thanks, bloopyblu423!!!
very fun, thanks so much!
Thank you, glow--I'm so glad that you enjoy these challenges, and my puzzles! :-)))))
HI PD, THIS PUZZLE WAS A REAL CHALLANGE FOR ME , BUT OF COURSE I LIKE THE CHALLENGE. I LOVED ALL THE COLORS TOO. YOU REALLY COME UP WITH SOME AWESOME PUZZLLES. THANKS AGAIN PD.
Ah, thank you both for your encouragement!!
Absolutely! All for one and one for all and here's to the old maps that used to say about the world beyond the land they knew: "Here be monsters!" And while I certainly hope you find a job, I'm glad you're making such excellent and productive use of your down time...! :-))))
Kathy, even if you're not full time, you will still be one of the Musketeers.
Musketeer-K here! Loved this one, really yummy colors:-))1:42:05I don't know how long I'll be able to be a full-fledged Musketeer. I have extra time right now because I am job-hunting - STILL!! Whether that remains the case depends on what I ultimately find. So, I'm making the most of it right now!! :-)Proud to be in a club with you two!
Aha! I didn't know that tugman did that--now I feel MUCH better! LOL! And I love the Three Musketeers--all for one and one for all--especially monsters! :-)))
LOL. Tugman quit one of his own puzzles the other day. He said he just wasn't enjoying it. When the new jigidi came on line, I pushed him to create a supersized monster. Then I kind of encouraged him to make it a weekly event. Yeah, yeah, yeah. What was I thinking? I enjoy the challenge, but there are times when I just can't get into a puzzle. If I'm not enjoying it, I'm not going to sit and work the puzzle just to say I worked it. Besides we all know that you, me and Kathy are like the three musketeers. If there's a monster and you see one of us, you will probably see all three of us. : )
Thanks, Aishahm! Sometimes it feels as if the people who don't attempt, and then those who don't finish, tugman's puzzles, are seen as somehow "not one of us", of the special group of those who have managed to finish. It's almost like war veterans who don't think of those of their fellow soldiers who didn't see combat as REAL veterans, as REAL warriors... LOL!
This puzzle was well worth the wait. Thank you so much, Pat. I hope I can stay on the board for at least a little while.I have to agree with you about these monsters. I'm just over a quarter of the way through the candy monster and I'm two hours in. I only work on it about 15-20 minutes a day. I like the challenge but there are so many other puzzles I want to work on too. 8-10 hours on one puzzle is okay if you are having fun, but pointless if you are no longer enjoying yourself. So I wouldn't say you are a quitter, you are just doing what you enjoy, which is the whole point.
I pretty much gave up on the candy monster, and on tugman's as well. I always hate stopping when I've invested so many hours in a puzzle, but when I can only place a single piece every fifteen minutes or so, I am no longer enjoying it, and I'll only be finishing it to prove something--whether to myself, or everyone else, I don't know. But I'd rather prove that I have the will power to say: "Enough already", when I'm no longer having fun, since enjoyment is what it's all about. I may go back to them another time, because sometimes a break does help, but for now I'll just have to admit that I'm a quitter...Besides, I've found a few new monsters I want to try, so why not spend my time with those, instead? I'll never have enough time to do ALL the puzzles I want to, so I think I'll do the ones that give me pleasure! :-)))
That's what happens when I haven't had my morning dose of caffeine. LOL! And I saw Sue's new puzzle too. I am saving it for the weekend. I want to do this one and then try to finish that candy monster before I move on to hers..
I wondered a little about your comment--I thought you sounded a little disappointed! LOL! I'm glad you found the right size now. I just finished Sue's new umbrella wowser , and it really lived up to its name! Have fun! :-)))
Pat. I am so happy to see this one. I should have paid more attention this morning, I thought the link was to this one. Imagine my surprise to only find 9 pieces. LOL.
