Elvis was probably one of the early ones who started this fad, and the grease they wore was enough to pack wheels! Thanks, everyone, for the fun comments.
thanks for the memories. this is for my husband who thinks he is over the hill, your as old as you feel. he is 70 an i'm only 11 monthes younger an i don't feel that old i'm sending this to him
My sis and I had ducktails once. We are 2 years apart but we always tried to dress alike as we were pretty much the same size, too. People are still confused today!
boy does this bring me back my dad use to wear his hair like this i would watch him comb it into place in the mirror everyday he even let me try to do it for him too thank for bringing that memory back to me
Looks like it took more than "a little dab" of Brylcreem to hold that in place! We saw them on TV, but they were considered to be popular among "JDs" (juvenile delinquents), and weren't mainstream where I grew up. It makes me think of Jimmy Dean - but it's really cute on the girl in the upper right1
Kaya, my brother did too! It had to be perfect! Roseheather, I wore that too, only really fluffy and longer. Thanks, Baby Laura, Kaya, Chickie, GNT, Roseheather & DL2! Memory Lane all over again!
