Not necessary, Wendy thanks. I have nothing to hide :-)
Wendy, I should tell you that I have had no inkling of the events and comments you refer to. I have done my level best to sit on the fence and avoid being drawn into the undesirable politics which have been going on on what should be a fun site. As you know, I have always enjoyed your puzzles and greatly appreciate the personal ones which you made for me. However I must ask you not to try to poison me against Kirsten. She was the first person to welcome me to Jigidi and has been a loyal friend ever since. If we can continue a non-partisan dialogue and enjoy each other's puzzles then that would be great but I will not be drawn into any criticism of any other puzzlers. I hope you understand my feelings. The decision is yours. Hester
Wendy, I have never attacked you and never disrespected you to anyone on Jigidi. I have never assumed you to be "an awful woman" and am totally unaware of anyone "making a big deal" about any of your comments here.I have just worked out that Gail's puzzle title related to a bit of harmless smut that I was in at the start of but never read the end of. I have not even been on Jigidi as much over the last months and only stick to my "favourites". Consequently I only recently became aware that you were back as "zzzz". So there you have it.BTW, my wink was because I wasn't sure of my part in the title and hadn't got round to finding out its relevance. You read me wrong once before ,Wendy ,and I'm very sad that you have once again.
Excuse me, what do you mean exactly?
Well, at least now you're aware of Growly's way with the ladies, so you'll be prepared.
It was nice chatting with you too, Hester. :-)
LOL, you got it Wendy! We're taking him on holiday shortly so I'll have to keep an eye on him with the local ladies!!
A strange thing has just occurred..... the sun has come out!! I think I shall grab Freddy and head off for a nice walk! Lovely chatting with you, Wendy, and I'll catch you later! :-D
All men THINK they're adults, but I've never met one that actually was. LOL
I suppose though, that when your BB is gone, that Growly needs to be locked in his bedroom. or shackled to a chair leg...unless of course, you don't mind raising little baby Growlys. Those women look to be of child bearing age.
I think I've been called Miss once in the past 5 years. It didn't help raise my spirits that much. hehehe
And Madam has the same meaning here now. Although madam is still used on occasion for addressing a 'proper' woman.
Well HE thinks he is! LOL. And BB, (hubby) was off in foreign parts when this mischief went down!
Wouldn't hurt some of these guys to call us "Miss" every once in a while...a tiny white lie goes a long way! :-D
You probably know the other definition of "a madam"? Over here it's the name of the female person who runs a house of ill-repute!! :-D
Well, now I'm curious, Hester. Is your best beloved an adult? And if so, where was he when Growly was misbehaving? I remember the very first time I was called "ma'am" instead of "miss." I knew for sure then, that I had reached adulthood but I didn't like it at all!
HOLY COW! I just looked up the word "ma'am" to make sure I had the correct spelling since I've never typed that word out before. Here are the two definitions:
? ?[mam, mahm; unstressed muhm] Show IPA
madam ( def. 1 ) .
(in Britain) a term used in addressing the queen or a royal princess.
I wish I'd known that I was being called a queen or royal princess!
In the US, that's not what ma'am is used for. It's used to mean that one is getting up there in years. LOL again.
I'm getting over the flu, slowly but surely. Thank you. :-)
Wendy, I've waited a looooooong time to call myself a "grown up" and unfortunately, according to my best beloved, I still don't qualify :-(
It's a case of the blind leading the blind! LOL
I hope you are getting over your flu, it can really muck you about!
Growly needs adult supervision. Aren't there any adults in the house?
Last night I found Growly in our booze cupboard with a couple of "ladies" of doubtful moral standing. There was a sweet smell in the air and all 3 were "wide-eyed & legless", to quote an old Andy Fairweatherlow song!
He's not been the same since going to see "Ted" the movie....
