Goedemorgen Ank! Thank you for your note. I'm glad you like the picture. Odd that some comments disappear ... but they do!! I hope you and Henk have a wonderful day! Don't work too hard in your garden.
Yep someone stole my comment. And I can't remember what I wrote, but I like the photo. Your time for bed, sleep tight. I have to call Henk out then we can have breakfast and I will play outside again.
Thank you Lorna and Suzy. Yes, there are lots of people and usually most of them are paddling, one is beating a drum to establish a rhythm and one is basically yelling instructions! In this picture they don't seem very busy at all !!
Another great shot. There are an awful lot of folks in that small boat! I am thinking they must be very stable.
There are a lot of people in such a small boat! Nice photo Cathy.
You're welcome Denise!Thank you Gemstone for the extra information! Yes, I know a lady who was on a dragon boat (survivor) team for many years. She travelled all over the world to compete in various races. I think it was just once a year but it was a different location each time. She loved it !!!
We also have teams that compete here (False Creek) in Dragon Boat Races during the summer. One team that I knew about were all cancer survivors...many over 60 years old.
Thank you so much Cathy for that information:-))
Hi Denise. You are always welcome!! I just put a link to a dragon boat article in the 'Information' section. I'll copy paste a bit here too. Hope this helps. A dragon boat (also dragonboat) is a human-powered watercraft traditionally made in the Pearl River Delta region of China's southern Guangdong Province out of teak wood to various designs and sizes. In other parts of China different woods are used to build these traditional watercraft. It is one of a family of Traditional Paddled Long Boats found throughout Asia, Africa, and the Pacific Islands. from Wikipedia
