Oh, Wendy, I need your advice... please check your email!!! Pretty please!!
LOL - I don't think I will be allowed to forget.... not by you, nor by the chickens!!! CLUCK, CLUCK, CLUCK!!!
Don't forget the Christmas Party you're planning on throwing for the chickens. I just LOVE this puzzle, Ms. Mandy. :-)
Thanks PJ, I hadn't thought to make it a yearly event, but who knows, maybe I should... any excuse for a party!!!
Welcome dogmom - how funny that your Eric looks a bit like this rooster... I don't actually keep chickens, but my daughter has 12!!! Thanks for stopping to comment.
Thanks Dagmar, it was designed as a family affair, so the little ones could be included, the cocktails were non-alcoholic!!! I'm glad it made you smile, thanks.
Mandy, what a wonderful story. Yes, I see why you want to give a chicken party in their honor. Is this a yearly event. I could imagine lots of people coming to celebrate the chickens - just waiting for the store advertisement, and the newspaper healines...... No?
Loved this! Our head rooster, Eric, looks a lot like this guy except Eric has a lot more of the emerald coloring on his tail feathers. We also have two Buff Orpingtons, Lucy and Ethel, so this puzzle was a family affair.
Weren't the little ones a little to little to be allow to a grown up party? LOL
Nice idea your chicken party and funny story to go with.
Thanks for a smile in the eveing. :))
Yup, I took the chickens for a quick spin Kirsten, to give them that extra special something to remember!!! Its such a silly story - and could have been so much worse!!
Yippee! Thanks for sharing the story Mandy. I'm thinking that maybe you have big puppy dog eyes, that the store could not resist!! And you never really want to hear stories of what people find in their food. Shudder! Although yours, thankfully, was fairly tame. Whew!!
And now that I see this one, I'm thinking you DID kaleido it for yesterdays puzzle. The chicken wire gives it away!
Oh, Kirsten, since you asked so nicely, and said the "magic" word - I guess I'd better tell you... I bought some chicken breasts that had a piece of hard plastic inside... don't ask how!!! So I returned it to the store, and was surprised to be given a full refund... AND a replacement pack of chicken. I was laughing with Wendy about it and she told me I should say thank you to the chickens... so I threw them a party!!! LOL!!!
Aw! No fair. What about the rest of us who wanna know the story? C'mon Mandy. Spill the beans. What's the chicken party story? Pleeeeeeaaaaasssssse??? :-DDD
No, the original puzzle was totally unrelated to Thanksgiving. I'll have to tell you in an email.... I'm glad you had fun solving it, thanks PJ.
Mandy - I love it. Such great fun. I've never heard of a chicken party before. Is this an allegory to Thanksgiving???
Right first time Barb!!! I'm glad you think it's cute, thanks :~}
Ooh, is this the chicken party that you talked about yesterday? :-)) Cute, Mandy!
You're very welcome, lovely to see you visit, thanks okieclem.
Thanks for a fun break before my final push on the big dinner here. :-)
