Thank you, Kirsten. The service went well but was long - about 2 hours. It really cut our time short between the two events. Cheerie Lou came by my house for a quick lunch and then took me in her car. The concert was very nice and dinner was delicious. But I'm tired.

What I didn't mention before was that the son's mother who made arrangements with me for the service had a massive stroke two weeks ago and died a week ago yesterday. Her husband has Alzheimer's but was aware today enough to try to tell me she had gone. He was my best and most favorite principal. I worked under him for 20 years. She just turned 89 last month. He's 87.

Oh, I'm sorry to hear about your friend's son Ardy. How tragic. That must be very hard for his family and loved ones. I hope the service went well. And that you were able to have a more cheerful afternoon at the concert and your shared meal.

And I know what you mean about replying to comments. I've been on Jigidi for nearly two hours, and have only just finished replying to comments on my own puzzles. I love it though. Good evening, Kirsten, although I've probably missed you by now. So glad you enjoyed this. I'm delighted to send puzzles knocking at your door. Wish I could do it too. (Knock on your door, that is.) It's more that I wouldn't have time today to prepare puzzles for tomorrow. Plus it's easier for me to catch up with comments during the day than all at once. I don't know how you reply to so many at once and still make your reply personal.

This morning I'm tolling a bell for the memorial service of a dear friend's youngest son who died of a sudden and unexpected heart attack. He was younger than you and was in good physical health. He was also a former student. In the afternoon I'm attending my cousin's spring community band concert. He plays the euphonium. After we are all going out to eat.

There's a lovely clarity to the colour in this set, Ardy. And speaking of the colours, it's a nice palette too. My friend who came and looked at them Friday is checking on something and will get back to me Monday, They could be fixed but it would be very costly and, due to the age of the machine, not practical. It has finally been raining today but looks like it is clearing. Hugs.

Good morning, Sandi. I'm happy you enjoyed this one. I would not have been surprised if you had also added the bottom left as one of your favorites as well. We have had some rain. I just went out and got the newspaper (it's been stolen three days this week.) and found that the sidewalk is wet. It's very overcast but I think it is to clear by early afternoon. I think we are to be in the low 70's today. I'll be off to early service in about 1/2 an hour but no other special plans. Thanks for the Sabbath wishes. Hope your day goes well. We're off to a chilly start today ... with the wind it feels like 34F but should warm up a little to around 50F, mostly sunny. Not sure of your plans but will miss seeing you tomorrow.
