Bruce not walking yet

This was another fine day of cycling despite the fact I had to walk my bike due to the sheer steepness of some of the climbs for the first time of the trip. The walks were short enough and traffic was light and polite so my nerves were never shot. The temps had also come down some so both cycling and walking were pleasant. Some of the inclines down were just as steep. Upon entering one of the Bridges (Hebden or Sowerby) I had to stop on a steep incline as my side road ended at a major road. Even with both feet down and my bike brakes applied my rear wheel slid around and the Chainring caught my R ankle again. This time a full thickness 2 x 3 cm divot of skin was peeled away. Dammit. Still did not affect my cycling but every day thereafter I added making an ankle protector from cello tape and tissue to my am routine. Must have helped as I had no more cuts but did note some tears in the tape on a couple of occasions. Colne is larger than expected but Bob led us to the Rowen House with no problem. Tony and Michelle were the most gracious of our hosts. Tony walked us down a path parallel to his drive that led to our route out the next day and while there pointed out interesting features on the horizon. So despite killer hills and a minor injury this part of the tour just kept getting better.
Aggregate Elevation Gain (Two Days): 9,638feet (2,921metres)
