YW, David. It's good to support such a long-standing tradition. I think perhaps we've all been mummers at some time during our lives. Certainly, I have, during what is still known as "rag" at many Brit universities. Not just ragtag, but ragtime too. I played a tuba without ever having the slightest idea of how to do it - painful for most, I suspect!Patti, Pamcal and pg: thanks for dropping by.
Ooops - Now I see it is Colin who put the puzzle up -- so thanks, Colin! and thanks PG for pointing me here.
Thanks for the Mummers PG - it's a long while since I marched with these folks but when I did it was playing in the ragtag bands that walk along with the Clown Divisions (like in this photo).
This is David of the numbers favorite parade. It takes them all year to put their floats and costumes together and get ready for this big day. They are mostly private citizens and are bands playing as they strut. This is a New Year's Day tradition in Philly.
What a great photo. I've always wanted to see a Mummer's parade. Thanks
Looks pretty wild! I think they're having fun! Thanks for the great set today!
