The Duke of Portland Boathouse at Pooley Bridge, Ullswater, Cumbria. Interesting history - there was a boathouse in the same location in the 17th century, but it was rebuilt for the 3rd Duke of Portland in the mid-18th century. It's one of the most photographed and Painted buildings in the English Lake District. It's now a holiday rental. Been over that way many times. It's a lovely drive from where I am - beautifully scenic landscape. Wordsworth called Ullswater ?the happiest combination of beauty and grandeur, which any of the lakes affords?. Nice pic spark, cheers. ; )
