I am always amazed and how ingenious some of the old equipment was/is. Seems it just keeps going no matter what and all the fancy stuff breaks down. thanks for sharing this with us.
He does it every year since 1972. Very hard worker. Someday we will get him into the 20th century. From yesteryear, "and he turned on the buzz saw."

I used to put up about 5 cords of wood every fall. There is a lot of heat in that wood, you sweat falling, limbing, sawing to length, splitting & stacking, but it sure feels good to back up to a roaring fireplace on a cold winters night.
