Yes, I did that last year after they broke the feeder but maybe it was too late. I'll try it again. Good idea! Thanks.
Tex, try a simple thistle sock to see if you will attract the finches. If you do, then get a nice long, tubular feeder.
Not any more. I did have and the squirrels (I think) knocked the feeder down and broke it, so I decided to try just the bells and a suet feeder. Thanks.
Do you have thistle seed out? That is their favorite.
Hi, Jacques, my dear! Thanks for liking my puzzles.
Laurajane, maybe you could shoo them this way, specifically to my back yard! I said I was going to go out with a skillet and spoon and bang out a dinner bell for them, and if that doesn't work, maybe I'll try running around the feeder and chanting! Ya think?
great set sweetie!
I have more goldfinches than I can count, tex. I seriously cannot believe it. They are blanketed across my back yard feeding area. Today, a hawk swept through as they were feeding. I bet he got a nice goldfinch snack.
You're welcome! I still don't have any. Maybe soon. I hung the bell, but all I've had is chickadees, some sparrows and that mean squirrel!
Sweet painting of goldfinches. Thanks, tex!
I'm with you RH! I think you're the only one from Northern states that I've heard say that! Grannygoatlady knows how it is here in Texas and what follows spring! That's why we want winter awhile longer! Thanks, PLG, Cel, and no, Sis, I can't even paint a barn, much less something this nice! Jignut, watch out, Wicca might get jealous!
We're still waiting for Winter here in South Texas...only have had a few days that could be considered cold....and that not very.
Sis, did you paint this? Great job! Thanks for posting spring pics!
What an adorable painting :)
I had to do this puzzle. It had birds in it!
But not too soon, I need a little more winter. ; )
Looking forward to it!
A cute painting tex.
