This party never stops, Robbie - - come on in and have a swizzle or two!
That is not kite string on the cactus - - it grows that stuff as a means of reducing evaporation. It is a desert adaptation. Google "old man cactus" for more on the subject.
Hey am I too late for a swizzle PPM? I have never seen anything like this, looks like a bunch of white kite string got tangled in your cactus. Cool puzzle, thanks.
Oh, yes, Hanne - - definitely a bottle of mjoed! Maybe two.
- and a bottle of mjoed??
Shall we commiserate over a couple of Robbie's swizzles?
(I'm still there, Plumpy!).....
You've been there, too, Lela . . .?
Alas!.....Like our dreams, the cactus blooms for just an instant, before fading away...........
Alas, Hanne, this is a dying blossom. I didn't notice that the plant was blooming until too late. But I'll watch the cactus closely for a while in case in blooms again, in which case I'll be sure to take its picture!
You DO photo it when it opens, Varda!! You MUST!! Please!! Thanks so very much!
It obviously enjoys being out in the sun.
I suspected you would appreciate it, Lelabug.
A stunning flower, Plumpy!.........
