At 10 days we like to climb up on things

They like to get as high up as possible Nicky. Closer to the heat lamp.

Follow the leader. They grow pretty fast.

Thanks Kathy, Lorna, Nicky and Marilyn. They would probably sleep up there all night but I turn off the heat lamp and they go under their new radiant heater at night. I have a wine rack that I cut apart for them which I'll try next. For that they do have to perch on dowels so I'll wait till they're two weeks old to try that.

Just like kids being toddlers climbing everything. I think they are getting ready to be big chickens and roost at night.

So I can see! I love those stubby wing feathers - they're coming along nicely!

Thanks Ank. I couldn't find it but my daughter did last week and now I put a small dot of white on the backs of two of them. Someone left a comment that said the theory about the eggs is not true but I'll still wait and see what happens. I hope the chicken finds it's way home too. They need to be inside at night. We are getting heavy snow now. 10 cm already today but rain and 6 tomorrow so it will be gone again. I just came back from walking with the dogs and they love to eat the snow. ☺♥☺︎

So cute. And indeed you can see them growing. Is the paint still on their feet? I just told my neighbor about the difference in the eggs. ☺
Yesterday evening we heard a boom against the window, so I went out to take a look, and what is walking out of my garden? A chicken. What again? Yes again. She walked away and I did not see her anymore. Now I hope she came from the farm in the opposite of our house and that she found her way back.

Thanks cherlock and Ardy. I saw your comment Ardy. lol. We've got the white stuff coming down hard and fast now. This picture through the glass is not very good but I didn't feel like taking them all out today.

Thanks ikook and Barb. All 7 were sitting on the bark but they moved when I got close enough to take a picture. They like the higher spot because it's closer to the heat lamp so there's always a lot of jostling to see who gets it.

Amazing how fast they grow ... only 10 days old and I can see a difference. Thanks for the update, Edie. :-)
